My Advocacy Blog on Fishing





Nearly all people agree that one should be an adaptable person. Teachers, students, basketball players, fishermen, firemen, police officers and many others all need to have the ability to be adaptable in many situations. People understand an adaptable person to be understanding and flexible.

Fishermen show great adaptability in both their private and public life. Fishermen show adaptability by moving to a different fishing location when their current one goes dormant. They also show that they are flexible by scheduling to go fishing in-between their work, family and church and friends.

 One may not realize it but fishermen also show adaptability when making a purchase at their local bait shop. If the bait that the fisherman wants to buy is out of stock, he has to change plans and either buys a different type of bait  or goes home and wait till the bait shop gets their shipment in.

My Cause and Effect Blog about Fishing

 I do not know of a single fisherman who has not accidentally or purposefully dropped their bait in the water for some reason or another. There are many legit reasons as to why one would drop their bait in the water. Some reasons that could influence a fisherman to drop his bait in the water could be that the bait bites, pinches, stings or slips out of his hand, another could be that something distracts him like a person swimming by or a fish on his line, and one other could be that he loses his balance due to a high wave or someone scaring him.

There are many possible outcomes when one drops his bait, he could get hurt, become angry, or even  fall into the water. So when one fishes he should consider the outcomes and if he dosent want one of the outcomes to happen then he needs to think about all the influence that could make him to drop his bait and try his best to avoid them.

My Fishing Narrative

As the little boy starts to wake, he thinks about the day and what it might hold. Surely, his dad wouldn’t leave him, but what if he had?

The anxious boy rushes into his closet, puts on some old clothes, and makes a b-line for the door. He is relieved to see that his dad is still here and just finished strapping the canoe to the top of their truck. After giving his mom a hug, the boy takes his lunch and hurries to get in the truck.  When the boy and his father finally make it to their favorite fishing holes, they load their canoe with fishing poles and tackle equipment then set off for a day of fun. After they found a good fishing spot, they pulled to the side and begin to fish. Only a few moments later, the father caught a small trout. Hours passed by, they ate their lunch and just as they were about to leave the boy caught a huge red drum. When they arrived home, the mother was so happy that she made one of the little boy's favorite meals, grilled red drum fillet.
