As the little boy starts to wake, he thinks about the day and what it might hold. Surely, his dad wouldn’t leave him, but what if he had? The anxious boy rushes into his closet, puts on some old clothes, and makes a b-line for the door.
He is relieved to see that his dad is still here and just finished strapping the canoe to the top of their truck. After giving his mom a hug, the boy takes his lunch and hurries to get in the truck. When the boy and his father finally make it to their favorite fishing holes, they load their canoe with fishing poles and tackle equipment then set off for a day of fun.
After they found a good fishing spot, they pulled to the side and begin to fish. Only a few moments later, the father caught a small trout. Hours passed by, they ate their lunch and just as they were about to leave the boy caught a huge red drum. When they arrived home, the mother was so happy that she made one of the little boy's favorite meals, grilled red drum fillet.
